5C First-Year Class of 2028 Survey

Views & Beliefs

Seeing as they are entering five politically active campuses, we wanted to know what role the Class of 2028 is going to play in the next four years of on-campus discourse. Who did they vote for, many filled out ballots for the first time? How do they identify politically? Are these campuses remaining predominantly liberal, or are first-years shifting the 5Cs to the right (or maybe even further left)? How did they feel about coming to campus after a year of extensive protests? What are their thoughts on pro-Palestinian organizing on campus? With free speech on campus remaining a significant topic on many students’ minds, these questions speak to what our campuses might look like going forward.
